Vice Chancellor for University Advancement
Dr. Marta Loyd serves as vice chancellor for university advancement and executive director of the UA Fort Smith Foundation. She completed her doctoral studies through the University of Missouri. Dr. Loyd's responsibilities for the University include alumni affairs, development and planned giving.
After working as a dental hygienist for 15 years, Dr. Loyd joined UA Fort Smith as a program coordinator in the division of Continuing Education, and helped launch the University’s dental hygiene program. She joined the university advancement staff in 1998 and five years later was named its vice chancellor.
Dr. Loyd holds a doctoral degree from University of Missouri, a master’s degree in higher-education administration from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene.
