Career Planning Home
Making decisions about your major, career, or graduate school is an important part of your experience at UAFS. Career planning is an ongoing process that we want to help you with every step of the way!
We have professional advisors ready to assist you with your process. Student Advisement and Career Planning, located on the second floor of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center, is open 8 AM – 6 PM Monday – Thursday and 9 AM – 5 PM on Friday. To schedule an appointment with a professional advisor you can call our office, (479)788-7400, or email Career Planning. To contact a specific professional advisor, meet our staff and email them directly.
During the process of career planning, you and a professional advisor can discuss major and/or career options, address issues or concerns about career planning, review self-assessment outcomes and talk about how to use available resources within the college and community to learn about careers.
Not sure about your major? You are not alone! The average college student changes their major 4 times during their collegiate career. Follow these steps to help choose your major & stick to it! Also, make sure to check out the Majors Expo in September, where you will be able to visit with a representative from every major that UAFS has to offer!
