Bell Tower Society
The Bell Tower Society was established by the UAFS Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors in the spring of 2006 to recognize faculty and staff who provide philanthropic support to the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. Any staff or faculty member who makes a gift through payroll deduction, makes a one-time annual gift, or includes UAFS in his or her estate plan will automatically become a member of the society.

Faculty and staff may direct their gifts to any cause, program, or fund at the University that is important or meaningful to them—scholarships, faculty development, a college or departmental equipment fund, a memorial fund, etc.
Support from faculty and staff is particularly important for the message it conveys. Potential supporters outside the university want to know how strongly the institution is valued by people who work here. A good indication of that value is the percentage of faculty and staff who give back to the University. Total dollars given, while important, is not as significant as the number of faculty and staff who participate.
Payroll deduction is an easy way to make your annual contribution; simply decide how much you want to give from your paycheck and indicate that amount on an authorization card with how you want your gift used. You may increase, decrease, or stop deductions at any time. Gifts are handled in the strictest confidence, and are fully tax-deductible in the year they are made.
