Biographical Information

  • Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum with a Rhetoric/Composition emphasis from University of Oklahoma
  • M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling from University of Tulsa
  • B.A. in English from University of Tulsa

I have developed and taught the three English methods courses offered to our English Teacher Licensure students, as well as our middle level education students. With a background in Rhetoric, I also enjoy teaching Composition I and II when I have the opportunity.  My research interests lie in the theory and research behind pedagogical practices connected with the teaching of writing, literature and language, and my publications mirror those interests. Currently, I am currently working with another faculty member on a publication in Digital Defoe that focuses on teaching methods that raise the relevance of students studying eighteenth century prose.
