The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith has released the Dean's List for the fall 2015 semester, according to Dr. Georgia Hale, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs.
University of Arkansas - Fort Smith student Zachary Vann has been selected to serve as the 2016 John Paul Hammerschmidt (JPH) Fellow for Congressman Steve Womack.
With the holidays over and the New Year beginning, the possibility for inclement weather exists. The university has procedures in place to let you know if it becomes necessary to cancel classes or close the campus.
State Rep. George McGill leaned into the microphone and used an example from his past to make a point about Fort Smith’s future.
When Waldron High School students Hannah Hale and Amy Teerath were tasked with making a documentary on a political topic, they deviated from covering the normal controversial subjects. Instead, they chose a topic they’ve been considering more and more as they grow closer to graduating high school: college affordability.

 

Battle of the Bands Set for March 3
The Campus Activities Board at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith will host the 12th annual Battle of the Bands at 7 p.m. March 3 in the Breedlove Auditorium, featuring local bands competing for cash prizes.

“Arkansas Women to Watch” Exhibit on Display at UAFS
The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith is the first venue in the state to host “Arkansas Women to Watch 2016: Organic Matters,” an art exhibition featuring prominent female artists from across the state. The exhibit will run until Feb. 26.
