Symphonic Band
Under the direction of Dr. Alexandra Zacharella, the UAFS Symphonic Band performs classic wind band repertoire as well as new and exciting contemporary compositions. This versatile instrumental ensemble consists of approximately 50 musicians, both music majors and non-majors, who join together to perform several concerts each semester for music lovers in the Fort Smith community. The band is dedicated to broadening the artistic level and interest of its members. From rousing Sousa marches to inspirational symphonic hymns and most everything in between, they perform challenging music of artistic and historical significance.
