The Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) will create and sustain a collaborative community and campus culture that understands, appreciates, and actualizes diversity, equity, and inclusion as a fundamental practice for the University’s mission.

Mission

The Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) will advance the University of Arkansas Fort Smith’s diversity efforts through access, engagement, partnership, and transformational experiences that foster belonging.

What We Do

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) supports the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith’s efforts to create and sustain a safe, open, and welcoming campus community where all members feel a sense of connection and belonging.  This will be achieved through continuous efforts to reach and foster understanding and appreciation of different cultures and ways of life that are shared by diverse groups of people through best practices, policies, and programming.
