The first ACCUPLACER test for placement is administered free of charge, but the student must have a current Application for Admission on file before testing. If you have not applied for admission, do so as soon as possible.
If you want to retest, a fee of $5 per unit (test) must be paid before testing. You can pay this amount online through our secure Cashnet system or by visiting the Cashier's Office on the second floor of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center. Credit card payments can also be taken over the phone at 479-788-7060.
To have your official scores sent to another institution, the fee is $5 per test score. We can pull most Compass and ACCUPLACER test scores that are less than four years old.
Compass and ACCUPLACER test scores are good at UAFS for five years.
If a student's Compass or ACCUPLACER test scores have expired, the student will not be required to pay a retest fee for placement.

Students must complete an application to UAFS before scheduling their ACCUPLACER test.  Students who want to take concurrent hours must fill out the Concurrent application prior to scheduling their ACCUPLACER test.
If you have already applied to UAFS you can schedule your Accuplacer test through your student portal page.
When you are ready to test, email the Gordon Kelley Academic Success Center or call them at 479-788-7675 to schedule your testing appointment. Upon arriving at your scheduled time, you must present your photo ID.

Please bring a current official photo ID with your current legal name.

Acceptable photo ID:
  • Government-issued photo ID such as an unexpired driver's license, an Arkansas ID card, or military ID
  • School ID card such as a UAFS Lions ID or high school ID card
  • School ID letter/transcript with photo
Other items:
  • Authorization Form – Given by advisement in the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center after speaking with an advisor
  • Receipt (if applicable) – Acquired from the Cashier’s Office in the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center

You will receive a copy of your score upon completion of the test.
The scores on the ACCUPLACER test will not transfer to another university unless specified by that institution. Students expecting to go to another institution or intending to transfer to another school should take the National ACT or complete their general education requirements before transferring.
UAFS will accept Compass and ACCUPLACER scores from another institution. Test scores must be less than five years old at the time you start classes.
UAFS will send your Compass and ACCUPLACER scores to another institution:
Call us at 479-788-7675 or email us at and share your email address and birthdate. We will send you copies of your test scores so that you may print them or forward them to your university of choice.

All students seeking admission to UAFS receive one free ACCUPLACER test if they do not have course placement based on previous coursework or acceptable ACT or SAT scores. Students who want to retest must pay a $5 retest fee per unit. No retests will be given on the same day as the original test. Only three retests are allowed within a 30-day period.

It is sometimes possible for you to test at another location to satisfy your UAFS placement test requirement. This is called “remote testing” and requires an ACCUPLACER voucher. Remote testing can be convenient for you if you are not near UAFS. To obtain an ACCUPLACER voucher for a remote test:
  • Contact the ASC at 479-788-7675.
  • Inform the staff member that you want to take an ACCUPLACER test at another location and require an ACCUPLACER voucher.
  • The UAFS staff member will obtain and provide you with an ACCUPLACER voucher number.
  • Contact a testing institution near you and ask to make an appointment.
  • UAFS is not responsible for fees charged by remote institutions.
  • An unexpired photo ID is always required, so please make sure your driver’s license, passport, or state ID is current.
This will also work if you need to test at UAFS for another university. Contact your university’s testing services to obtain a remote voucher number and make an appointment with the Gordon Kelley Academic Success Center to test at UAFS.
