Cyber Systems

The UAFS cyber systems program offers college-level courses that teach high school students foundational skills in cyber systems and computer science. These courses also support the degree requirements for certificate programs or a bachelor's degree or minor in information technology.

Below is a sample of the course sequence of high school students.

Bachelor of Science in information technology

Students in grades 10–12 at any partner school that meets the admissions qualifications can sign up to take cyber systems classes.

Students will need to have at least a 2.0 GPA and meet minimum test score requirements as listed below:

  • ACT of 17 in English, Math, AND Reading
Students will also need to have a Math ACT score of 23 or have completed College Algebra by the time they get to the second year of the program. Check with your counselor for additional information.

In addition to the college curriculum, students are connected with industry partners through the program. Students will have the opportunity to network with business people currently working in a professional position, talk with a mentor about what their company can offer, explore skills needed in a workforce, and tour places of business in our region.
