Lion Voices - Cole Wright

Written By: Jacob Howell

Today’s #LionVoices feature is Sophomore Psychology & Marketing major, Cole Wright. Cole is from Bentonville, Arkansas and is the current Director of Marketing for the Residence Hall Association.

Cole said affordability was critical to his decision to attend UAFS the most. “I got offered a place in the Honors Program. After talking with my mom and college advisor, I was convinced, and I really enjoy it here.” Cole also said that the part of campus that influenced his life the most was the programs it offered. “RHA completely changed my career plans. I came in wanting to be a counselor, and now I want to go into marketing.”

“UAFS has given me experience and skills, through jobs such as RHA and being a Student Conduct Officer, to pursue different leadership and professional goals down the road.” He also spoke on how UAFS is helping him prepare for his longer-term goals “I didn’t grow up with a lot of money. By being here at UAFS, I will be able to provide my future self and family a good life.”

Cole says he is most proud of the people he finds on campus. “The faculty is awesome, and I have found some of the smartest people I’ve ever known here.”
