Lion Voices - Elliot Nemeth

Written By: Jacob Howell

Happy Friday Lions! Today’s #LionVoices feature is senior Business Administration major with a focus in Consumer Marketing and Small Enterprise Management, Elliot Nemoth. Elliot is from Muldrow, Oklahoma and previously Alberta, Canada. He serves Chi Alpha treasurer.

When asked what swayed him to attend UAFS, Elliot said “its availability, affordability, and the quality of its business school.” While here, Elliot said UAFS has influenced him the most by “providing a space where I could grow into who I am.” He further elaborated on what makes UAFS special, “I think the community is unique, I don’t know of many schools where you can randomly chit-chat with the chancellor.”

After graduating, Elliot plans to open his own coffee and bagel shop right here in Fort Smith. “I want to focus on bringing new things to Fort Smith, I have a big heart for seeing the city grow and part of that is bringing in new businesses.”

“None of this would’ve been possible without UAFS. The business knowledge that I’ve gained is crucial to running a business. The Economic Center has been a great resource in showing me how to start a business.” He also said, “UAFS has a specific mind for building things that will last and benefit the community.”

Elliot said that “the strong commitment to see their students succeed” is what makes him proud to be a UAFS student. “I’m a walking billboard of that.”
