Mane Event Welcomes New Students to UAFS

The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith will host its second Mane Event new student welcome day, Friday, July 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The half-day program aims to guide students who have enrolled for the Fall 22 semester, as well as their parents and guests, into their new lives as Lions. Lunch included at the Lion’s Den Dining Hall, and student registration is open through July 10. Attendance is free for both students and their guests.

At Mane Event, incoming students will learn more about campus resources, and find answers to questions about financial aid, housing, involvement, student clubs and organizations, and student support services.

Faculty and staff from across the university's three academic colleges will also be on site to share major-specific insights with students and families, and help ease the transition to college life.
