Lion Voices: Adam Holt
Hey Lions! I hope you all had a great winter break! This week for our #LionVoices we have Adam Holt, a junior Biochemistry major from Vian, Oklahoma. A transfer student, Adam earned his associates degree from Carl Albert State College before coming to Fort Smith to join the UAFS Pride.
After he graduates in 2025, Adam plans to attend pharmacy school, saying that UAFS helped him become more self-assured and prepared in his baccalaureate classes, and the post-graduate classes still to come.
“I am a transfer student so coming to UAFS was a big change for me. I was nervous and scared I wasn’t going to be good enough, but UAFS has taken all those doubts away!” Though he was uncertain at first, Adam says the community at UAFS, coupled with its proximity to his hometown and his family made his time here even better than he’d hoped.
Adam says he is inspired by his mother, and he hopes to eventually pursue a balanced career as a pharmacist and while building his own family. “She has inspired me by always being kind and understanding to everyone. Even with her various health problems, she never let that stop her from being a good person and spreading kindness.”
