Den Day: 2023

Come one, come all! Den Day returns to the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith campus on Friday, April 14, 2023, in the Stubblefield Center. Check-in starts at 9 a.m. with a welcome and overview of the open campus day beginning at 10 a.m. 

Current high school students and transfer students interested in becoming UAFS Lions are encouraged to tour the beautiful 170-acre campus and step into the shoes of a full-time student for a day. Plus, there will be opportunities to receive prizes and even some scholarships!

Students will meet with and speak to professors from all major options and get a first-hand look at classrooms and labs. Whether a student’s career goal is to enter the health field, lead the next generation of learners in the classroom, transform the world of art, become their own boss, to everything in between, UAFS can help achieve it. 

Success at UAFS comes from beyond just the classroom. On Den Day, students will gain access to some of UAFS’s most popular facilities. Take a tour of the multi-million-dollar Boreham Library and find the perfect study spot, check out the Academic Success Center to meet with an academic coach, or take care of physical and mental health by getting a workout in at the Recreation and Wellness Center – better known as the RAWC – home to UAFS’s 35-foot-tall climbing wall.

Before the day is done, peek inside the multiple dorm room options at the Lion’s Den. Here, first-year students can envision the full college experience by imagining themselves spaciously living with roommates, cooking their own meals, or grabbing a bite in the dining hall.
