Good afternoon, colleagues and students.

 

I hope this message finds you in good spirits after several days of rest. For those of you who traveled during this break, I wish you very safe trips back to Fort Smith. 

 

I want to give special thanks to Director of Plant Operations Samantha Gillespie and Beshears Construction for their hard work to clean and repaint the tunnel that connects the main campus under Grand Boulevard. I have attached some photos so you can see how clean and neat it looks already. The tunnel should be ready to be used on Monday when we return for work and classes. As noted by Vice Chancellor Tucker, we will work with the Department of Art and Design to create a mural which will further brighten up the space.

 

Congratulations to the men's and women's basketball teams who both won on the road this week. If you can, please join us for the women's basketball game in the Stubblefield Center on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

 

As a reminder, classes begin on Monday at 8 a.m., and our offices reopen at the same time. See you then!
