Family Weekend Returns Oct. 3-4
Written By: Ian Silvester
Fall is officially in the air, and the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith is eager to usher in the new season with the return of its annual Family Weekend on October 3-4.
The weekend slate of events includes something for everyone, from pumpkin painting and volleyball to a 5K race and the Family Fall Fest, featuring the annual chili cook-off, photo booth, inflatables, music, and games.
“Family Weekend is one of the most exciting traditions at UAFS because it brings the energy of our students and their loved ones together on campus,” said Stephany Dobbins, new student and family programs coordinator. “We host this weekend so families can experience the spirit of UAFS firsthand – cheering at games, joining in fun activities, and making memories with the students. It’s about celebrating their journey, building connections, and showing that every family is a vital part of our Lion community.”
