Octuba-Fest Returns for 2025

The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Department of Music and Theatre will host its 19th annual Octubafest on Sunday, Oct. 12, in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center.

The event welcomes low brass students in grades 9-12 and adult low brass performers to participate in a mass play-along rehearsal beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring trombones, euphoniums, baritones, sousaphones, or tubas to join the ensemble. Pizza and soft drinks will be provided for all performers.

The day will conclude with a free public concert at 5 p.m., featuring performances by the UAFS Trombone Quartet, UAFS Brass Ensemble, Die Löwenbande — a faculty-student polka band — and the mass low brass ensemble.
