Dear colleagues and students,
Congratulations! We've made it to the last day of finals, and we are anxiously awaiting
commencement tomorrow. This is my final campus update message of spring 2026, and
it has been such a rewarding semester. I hope you feel that way, too.
Student Government Association: One of the final acts of the year included signing SGA Resolution 2026-01: Expansion
of UAFS Parking Lot B North Entrance. This resolution notes that the entrance to Parking
Lot B is too narrow and could compromise safety. I have signed this resolution and
requested UPD and Plant Operations to review, design, and complete the work. We hope
to complete the project no later than the end of fall 2026. Thank you to Michael Nguyen,
Senator at Large, for sponsoring this resolution and to all of the SGA members who
voted to support this resolution.
Employee Insurance Premiums: See internal email for the attached spreadsheet that provides details for new premiums with UAFS absorbing the increase to the extent possible within allowed subsidy levels.
Increases to employees will still be seen for the following:
Full-time Employees:
- Premier:
- Full-time employees at all coverage levels (11 employees)
- Dental:
- Employees covering family members (188 employees)
Part-time Benefits-eligible Employees:

All part-time employees with medical insurance at any level will see an increase. (2 employees)

All part-time employees with dental insurance at any level will see an increase (3 employees)
Provost Search: Thanks to all of you who have provided feedback on the provost candidates. We have
one final candidate who will visit campus next week, and I plan to review all of your
feedback. Your voices matter in this process.
Congratulations to all of our spring 2026 graduates. We look forward to celebrating
with you tomorrow!
