The Department of Music and Theatre at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith will present their first concert of the year at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11 as part of Season of Entertainment 36.

The concert will be performed at the ArcBest Performing Arts Center at the Fort Smith Convention Center, located at 55 S. 7th Street. Admission is by Season 36 season ticket, or individual tickets are $6.

The concert will feature the UAFS Chorale, a select mixed choir, and the UAFS Women’s Chorus under the direction of Dr. Rager H. Moore, director of choral activities.

The concert starts with music from Africa and then travels around the world to Japan, Scotland and back and forth across the United States with spirituals from the South and composers of the Midwest.
