The 13th annual Battle of the Bands will take place at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith at 7 p.m. March 2 in the Breedlove Auditorium, offering local bands an opportunity to play for the community and win prizes.

 

The event, which is free and open to the public, will have the theme “Across the Universe,” encouraging participating musicians to play covers of Beatles songs. Musician David Paige will serve as the master of ceremonies.

 

Cash prizes include $200 for first place and $100 for the crowd favorite. Additionally, students who attend the event and bring a canned food item will receive a free T-shirt, with donations going to a local food bank.
