Jordan Hale

Jordan Hale, director of government and community relations at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith and a UAFS alumnus, was recently recognized for his work by being named to the Fast 15, an annual list of top professionals in their twenties published by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal.

A 2013 graduate of UAFS, Hale began his career at the university as the senior admissions officer before being named to his current position in summer 2017. In that role, he serves as the government and community liaison for the university and manages high-priority projects for the chancellor to achieve the university’s strategic plan.

He also monitors legislative and higher education policy, provides consultation to university leadership on the potential impact of that legislation, and coordinates meetings and visits by public officials to campus.

“I’m humbled to be included in the Fast 15 this year,” Hale said. “This is a great opportunity to appreciate the individuals who have supported me throughout my life. I owe a great deal to my parents and the mentors who have encouraged me to work hard and never waste an opportunity.”

Additionally, Hale is a 2018 graduate of Leadership Fort Smith and participates as a young alumni in the UAFS Mentor Connections program. He was the university’s first John Paul Hammerschmidt Fellow, a partnership between UAFS and Congressman Steve Womack’s office that allows UAFS students to spend a summer as a research fellow in Washington, D.C.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in political science and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in public administration from Arkansas State University.
