Where did Rory get his name?
In October 1929, students at what was then Fort Smith Junior College showed their school pride by choosing a lion as their mascot and naming him Numa. Nearly a century later, that same pride continues to roar, so when it came time to name our newest guide, we looked to our roots. Rory’s name is a tribute to our first class of students, their belief in our institution, and the Lion pride that runs through our community.
