Jo Stealey is an award-winning artist, educator, lecturer, and curator, internationally recognized for her mixed media sculpture and collages utilizing handmade paper. Her work is exhibited nationally and internationally and appears in many private and public collections, including the National Portrait Gallery at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. She is Professor Emeritus of the University of Missouri, where she served as head of Fibers, Department Chair, and founding director for the School of Visual Studies.
