Miranda Adamson has served as a full-time faculty member since January 2022. Her bedside nursing background is rooted primarily in the Intensive Care Unit with expertise in critical care, leadership, medical-surgical nursing, and family practice. She serves as a faculty advisor for the Student Nurses’ Association, a role she values for the opportunity to mentor students, foster their professional development, and support the growth of their leadership skills.

As a nurse educator, Adamson believes learning is most effective when it is student-centered, engaging, and connected to real-world practice. Her goal is to prepare nursing students not only with clinical knowledge and technical skills, but also with the critical thinking, communication, and compassion required for safe and holistic patient care. She strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, reflect on their experiences, and take ownership of their learning. By integrating evidence-based practice, active learning strategies, and professional role modeling, she aims to inspire future nurses to be adaptable, ethical, and patient-focused. Ultimately, her philosophy is to teach in a way that empowers students to grow into confident, competent, and caring professionals.
