Caleb Cash-Tobey has served as the assistant director of scholarships in the Financial
Aid and Veterans Benefits Office since March 2025. In this role he awards more than
$3 million in scholarships to deserving students, taking the time to match each student
with the appropriate scholarship. Additionally, he meets with students to help foster
an understanding of the financial aid process and how best to fund their education.
Before joining the Financial Aid team, Caleb served as the associate director of development
with the UAFS Foundation, connecting the Fort Smith community with UAFS. Prior to
UAFS Caleb was the associate director of student engagement at the University of Central
Oklahoma where he oversaw orientation, parent and family programs, and major campus
programming, including homecoming, BronchoThon, the Student Programming Board, and
student organizations.
Caleb is deeply passionate about the transformative power of higher education and
believes in ensuring that all students have access to these opportunities. As a first-generation
college student, he personally understands the impact of a college degree on students
and their families. Caleb is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in educational
leadership with a concentration in higher education administration. His research centers
on the resources that influence queer student retention and how universities can better
support this student population.
