An adjunct instructor at UAFS, Mary Elkins has taught community art classes in Richmond, Virginia (Visual Arts Center), and occasionally teaches in Van Buren, Arkansas (Arts on Main). She has a studio in her backyard where she makes sculptures mainly in fiber and clay. Her work is focused on memory, motherhood, and family.
