Ethan Pearson obtained his B.S.N. from the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith in 2016 and graduated from Chamberlain University with his Master of Science in Nursing, family nurse practitioner, degree in December of 2020. His first RN position was held at Mercy Hospital, Fort Smith, in the area of critical care. He quickly realized his passion for nursing and began to continue his education to pursue his goal of becoming a nurse practitioner.

While attending graduate school, he continued working full time in the fast-paced, challenging, high-acuity environment of the critical care unit. While in this position, he began to realize his love for educating in nursing others through the process of precepting and mentoring new RNs.

After working and gaining experience for five years in the critical care unit, and even through the world-challenging COVID-19 pandemic, his goals were finally achieved when he graduated with his master's in 2020 and passed the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification exam in February of 2021. At that time that he made the monumental decision to pursue a career in nursing education which began in August 2021 when he was hired as full-time nursing faculty for the BSN program at UAFS. After this transition his passion for nursing education continued and was confirmed, and he hopes to continue to learn and flourish as a nurse educator as he teaches the upcoming generation of nurses.
