Tresia Rouse has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare, starting as a certified nursing assistant before obtaining an Associate Degree in Nursing in 2012. She has a wealth of experience in clinical practice since she began her nursing career. She has a passion for nursing, which inspired her to receive her M.S.N with a focus on nursing education. Since 2020 she has been a nursing faculty member at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Carolyn McKelvey Moore School of Nursing.

She currently teaches clinical and didactic for undergraduate nursing students and is committed to facilitating educational experiences for students and making a positive impact on the nursing profession.

Her research interests include improving clinical judgment among nursing undergraduates and thyroid cancer. She has interests in active learning strategies, neonatal care, women’s health, thyroid cancer support, and advocacy in healthcare.

Tresia is a member of nursing organizations such as American Holistic Nurses Association, Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses, and the National League for Nursing.
