Sophie Vargas earned a B.M.E. in music education from Arkansas Tech University in 2021, followed by a certificate for teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) in 2022. Since graduating in 2021, she has worked in various roles in the education field including substitute teaching for the Fort Smith Public Schools, training abroad in South Korea as an English instructor for primary school students, and assisting as a paraprofessional for Spanish speakers at Kimmons Middle School in Fort Smith. Since June of 2023, she has been advising students in the ROAR First-Year Advising Center at UAFS.
