Specializing in medical social work, Michelle Wannemacher, MSW, LCSW, has dedicated 10 years to working with the geriatric population, primarily focused on hospice care. Michelle obtained her LCSW (Licensed Certified Social Worker) in 2017 and transitioned into academia in 2022 as an adjunct faculty member, later becoming full-time faculty and assuming the role of interim director in August 2023. In addition to her academic contributions, Michelle serves as co-advisor for the student organization the Social Work Network, demonstrating her commitment to fostering professional connections and community support within the social work field. Her career exemplifies a seamless blend of clinical expertise, educational leadership, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on individuals and communities.
