Katie Waugh is a multi-disciplinary artist working primarily in photography, sculpture, and video. She earned her M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and M.A. from Savannah College of Art and Design - Atlanta. Her work has been included in exhibitions throughout the United States and select locations abroad including the Art Gallery of Peterborough, Ontario; the High Museum of Art in Atlanta; the Kauno Biennale in Kaunas, Lithuania; Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, Virginia; Stone Quarry Hill Art Park in Cazenovia, New York; Northern Illinois University Art Museum in DeKalb, Illinois; Sweet Pass Sculpture Park, Dallas, Texas; and ADDS DONNA in Chicago, Illinois. She is a 2023 recipient of the Artists360 Grant.

With roots planted deeply in the Great Lakes region, she currently serves as head of the Department of Art and Design at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith where she has taught foundations art courses, upper-level special topics courses in video and installation art, and the First-Year Admissions Portfolio course.
