The Bachelor of Science in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering is the state’s first four-year program to combine mechanical and electrical engineering with business, logistics, and data analytics. Developed in collaboration with the River Valley’s manufacturing leaders, this program equips students with technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills—preparing them to excel in high-demand careers from day one.
The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology is a completer degree for students who have completed the Associate of Applied Science in electronics technology; have completed 45 hours toward the degree; or have permission from the dean of the College of Business and Industry.
An electrical engineering technology degree trains students for application-oriented engineering technology careers in electronics, control systems, robotics, energy, power, microprocessors, communications, and alternative energy. UAFS instructors have industry and teaching experience. Students receive personal one-on-one instruction not seen in most universities. Top-tier facilities with state-of-the-art technology ensure that students are ready for great jobs the day after graduation.
In Collaboration with the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville
Students at UAFS have the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) through a collaborative program with the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Designed for flexibility and affordability, this partnership allows students to complete all freshman and sophomore courses on the UAFS campus, taught by UAFS faculty and billed at UAFS tuition rates.
In the junior and senior years, students transition into upper-level courses taught by University of Arkansas faculty, delivered on the UAFS campus or via compressed video. Admission to the University of Arkansas is required prior to enrolling in these advanced courses. Upon completion, students are awarded their bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, while benefiting from the smaller class sizes and support network at UAFS throughout the entire program.

This versatile two-year degree prepares students for immediate entry to the workforce or transfer into a four-year engineering program. With a solid foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering principles, graduates are equipped with the technical skills needed for high-demand jobs or future education. Students who complete the ASEE or ASME are eligible to transfer into the Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering programs offered by the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, allowing them to complete their four-year degree while remaining on the UAFS campus.
