Day Of Giving

Welcome to Day of Giving!

Join us as we continue to honor our university's founding with not just 24 hours of giving, but 1,928 minutes of giving! Our celebration will start at 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 25 and wrap up at 3:08 p.m. on Friday, April 26.

Day of Giving spotlights student experiences, student support initiatives, and scholarships that make our university so special. It not only allows you to learn about how our institution uplifts and equips students for life after college – it allows you to personally shape their student experience, and their future.

Want to get involved? Become a Day of Giving ambassador! Day of Giving ambassadors are students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the university who are willing to tell their UAFS story and speak to the benefit of this year's projects. This can be in one-on-one conversations or by sharing about Day of Giving online. To learn more about becoming an ambassador, and to make your official ambassador profile, check out our Day of Giving toolkit below.

Below you will find the 18 initiatives that are participating in this year's Day of Giving. They range from athletics teams to ensuring that UAFS continues to be the most affordable four-year university in Arkansas through scholarships like the Finish Scholarship – and everything in between. Click the tiles below for more information on this year's initiatives.

Numa is our Lion mascot. Numa has been a fixture of UAFS since the first iteration of our university – Fort Smith Junior College.

Our university was founded in 1928. This is our way of creating a more full day while paying homage to our founding date!
