Academic Affairs Policies

Academic Affairs policies define the academic standards, teaching expectations, and enrollment practices that guide learning at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. This section includes policies on academic honesty and integrity, grades and academic standing, curriculum and instruction, admissions and transfer credit, faculty workload and evaluation, and research and sponsored programs. Students, faculty, advisors, and academic staff can use these policies to understand how courses, programs, and academic decisions are structured and reviewed. Use the menu on the left to view specific Academic Affairs policies

Many of these policies link directly to the UAFS Catalog, the Employee Handbook, University of Arkansas System policies, or external regulatory guidance. This page serves as a central starting point and does not list every procedure or departmental guideline; in all cases, the official catalog entries and governing documents take precedence. Use this section to locate key academic policies that affect registration, grading, progression, teaching, and research responsibilities. For questions about these policies or how they apply to a specific situation, contact the Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
