You’ll build a solid foundation in welding techniques and industry standards through courses such as Introduction to Welding and Print Reading, Arc Welding – Basic, and Arc Welding – Advanced. Earning this certificate demonstrates your skills and commitment, positioning you for rewarding manufacturing, construction, and metal fabrication job opportunities.

Upon completing the arc welding Certificate of Proficiency, students can seamlessly advance their education at UAFS by enrolling in the Technical Certificate in welding, further enhancing their expertise and technical proficiency. Credits earned at each stage can directly apply toward the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in welding, offering a clear pathway for continued professional growth.

The Associate of Applied Science in general technology - welding is designed for students to develop skills that meet certain certification test standards for both structural and high-pressure vessel welding. Students will learn basic and advanced skills in arc, MIG, and TIG welding along with theories and practical application of fabrication and layout.
