Our robust, 32-credit-hour welding certification program offers aspiring welders and fabricators extensive hands-on training in essential industry techniques, including Arc, MIG, and TIG welding. Graduates who successfully complete this Technical Certificate can seamlessly continue their education at UAFS by enrolling in the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in welding program. The Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology is a completer degree for students who have completed the Associate of Applied Science in electronics technology; have completed 45 hours toward the degree; or have permission from the dean of the College of Business and Industry.
 
The Associate of Applied Science in general technology - welding is designed for students to develop skills that meet certain certification test standards for both structural and high-pressure vessel welding. Students will learn basic and advanced skills in arc, MIG, and TIG welding along with theories and practical application of fabrication and layout.
 

The Associate of Applied Science in general technology enables you to design an individualized program of study to fulfill career goals that cannot be met by any single degree program. You will work closely with an advisor to select courses from multiple technical disciplines and develop a program related to your career objectives.
