UAFS Lion's Lair Business Competition Steps
1. Assemble a Dynamic Business Team
This competition is open to students from all colleges at UAFS in teams of two to four people. We actively encourage teams with a diverse range of academic backgrounds and concentrations. Choose your entrepreneurial dream team and create something amazing.
2. Select Your Product or Service
Do you have a product or service that you believe the world needs? Quite often these ideas turn out to be the most brilliant. Last year's state champion created a simple solution to assist hunters with removing their waders. Your idea could be next!
3. Collaborate with a Dedicated Mentor
Your team will be assigned a mentor from UAFS who will provide comprehensive guidance on crafting an effective business plan and tips for presenting the perfect elevator pitch.
4. Craft Your Business Plan
Uncover your niche, analyze the competition, identify your target customers, and devise a profitable marketing strategy. These are just a few of the critical topics you'll address while developing your comprehensive business plan.
5. Perfect Your Elevator Pitch
Condense your business concept into a concise, impactful one-minute pitch. Your mentor will be there every step of the way to refine your presentation and help you deliver it like a seasoned pro.
6. Submit Your Business Plan
Business plans will be submitted on Nov. 28. Teams will then deliver their in-person pitch on Nov. 30 to a distinguished panel of UAFS administrators and esteemed business leaders. The winners will be announced on the spot and take home $1,000 in cash.
