Miss UAFS Scholarship Competition

Since our inception as the Miss Westark Pageant in 1978, we have hosted hundreds of outstanding young women as they sought to earn scholarships and other competition honors. The Miss UAFS Program is a preliminary to Miss Arkansas, which leads to the Miss America Competition, the largest scholarship provider for women in the country.

Our candidates have gone on to professions in all walks of life, often attributing their achievements to the confidence and skills they developed while competing in the Miss UAFS Competition. We have had candidates go on to win the titles of Miss Arkansas and Miss Oklahoma and even compete for Miss America. 

We are fortunate to have the support of the campus and surrounding community, as evidenced by attendance numbers consistently surpassing other competitions in the state of Arkansas. The Miss UAFS Scholarship Competition gives away more than $14,000 in institutional scholarships and cash awards each year thanks to a shared recognition of the program's importance by the university and the community.
