Active-Military and Veteran Pathways

Service members and veterans bring valuable training and experience to the classroom. UAFS honors that work by helping you turn military education into college credit that moves you toward your degree.

UAFS is recognized as a Military Friendly School with a Silver designation, reflecting our commitment to supporting those who serve.

Earn College Credit for your Military Training

Your Joint Services Transcript can count toward your degree at UAFS. You can receive up to 30 hours of college credit, depending on your documented military experience and ACE recommendations.

What to expect:

  • Both lower-division and upper-division credit may be awarded when supported by ACE or equivalent recommendations.

  • Credit applies toward applicable degree requirements after faculty review.

  • Your military experience may also help you satisfy general education or elective needs, depending on your program.

How Your Credit is Evaluated

Our team reviews your JST alongside ACE recommendations to determine the best fit within your degree path. You’ll receive a personalized credit evaluation that shows how your experience applies to your academic plan.

Steps in the process:

  1. Request your Joint Services Transcript.

  2. Submit it for evaluation at UAFS.

  3. Receive a credit summary from our academic team.

  4. Plan next steps with an advisor who understands military pathways.
