Additional representatives have been elected to the Student Government Association at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, adding to the slate of officers and representatives for 2013-14.
The SGA is comprised of five executive team positions, one representative from each class, two representatives from each of the seven colleges at UAFS, three members-at-large and one international student.
Chosen during a campus election this month were:
Clarksville: Yazmin Gamez, College of Education.
Fayetteville: Stephany Nelson, College of Health Sciences.
Fort Smith: Robert Lopez, College of Business; Giau Pham, College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics; and Samuel Lisk, freshman class.
Greenland: Corey Austin Johnson, College of Education.
Greenwood: Stuart McElhenny, member at large.
Havana: Bryeanna Berry, College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Lincoln: Joshua Evans, College of Languages and Communication.
Osaka, Japan: Mari Odake, international student.
Roland, Okla.: Cassandra Reed, College of Applied Science and Technology.
Elected last spring were Scott Walker, College of Applied Science and Technology, from Alma; Robert Moore, chief of staff, Charleston; Curtis Adams as president, Matthew Farrar as treasurer, Denise Sellers from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Chris Elrod from the College of Languages and Communication, all from Fort Smith; Annsley Garner as secretary and Allie Wilson for the College of Business, Greenwood; Zachary Lawrence, sophomore class, Huntington; Taylor Malone, vice president, Van Buren; and Humberto Marquez, member at large, Waldron.
