The Spanish Club and the World Languages Department at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith will celebrate Hispanic culture and traditions at the Spanish Festival, an event held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. April 6 in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center.

The festival includes musical performances by the UAFS Chorale and the Jazz Catz, a dance performance by members of the Spanish Club, and a “Dancing with the Professor” contest. Attendees can also enjoy interactive language and cultural games, and traditional food and beverages will also be sold.

The Spanish Club was founded last September to help educate the campus community on aspects of Hispanic language, culture and society. The club’s members also offer tutoring in the Spanish language and have served as interpreters and translators with the university and the Fort Smith community.
