Tentative ResolveAn exhibit on display until June 30 in the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith will feature textile artwork by hand weaver and fiber artist Jennifer Libby Fay, with a reception slated for June.

The exhibit showcases 19 artworks by Fay, a result of her work with textiles that she has embellished and dyed for artistic effect.

“I make art about transformation, imagination and healing,” Fay said in an artist statement. “The intention of my work is to create peace in a confusing and precarious world; to project a calm, contemplative atmosphere that energizes and restores.”

Fay’s work has been shown in exhibitions in California, Washington, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Arkansas, and she was named a “Women to Watch” by the Arkansas State Committee of the National Museum of Women.

The reception will be held from 5-6 p.m. June 8 on the west end of the first floor of the campus center. The exhibit hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
