Students from the Phi Beta Lambda chapter at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith earned awards at the annual PBL National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Ga.

 

Daniel Tu of Fort Smith earned first place in contemporary sports issues and fourth place in justice administration, while Rebecca Bolton of Greenwood placed third in accounting principles. She also placed fourth in accounting analysis and decision making along with team members Karen Hardie and Sally Williams, both of Fort Smith.

 

“The College of Business is proud of our PBL chapter’s continued success at national competition,” said Dr. Latisha Settlage, associate dean and professor of economics in the College of Business. “We congratulate the hard work of this year’s award winners and the chapter overall.”

 

Also attending the conference were UAFS students Elisabeth Jones, Quynh Nguyen and Michelle Weyrick, all of Fort Smith.

 

Phi Beta Lambda is an organization for students preparing for careers in business or business-related fields and is the college division of the Future Business Leaders of America.
