Peer Tutoring

Peer tutors are UAFS students who have excelled in their courses and received a faculty recommendation. Tutoring is a free service available to all currently enrolled students at UAFS. Appointments can be made with tutors through Navigate.

Paul Hackbarth

Paul Hackbarth

is an environmental geoscience major at UAFS. He thinks the UAFS campus is beautiful, and the students and teachers are great. He enjoys Tai Chi, eastern religions, and Meier's computer games. An unusual fact about Paul is that he was a high school junior in Dallas when President Kennedy was shot. Another is that Tommy Lee Jones was in his class.

Kaston Smith

Kaston Smith

is a sophomore psychology major at UAFS. He is beyond excited to help his peers reach their academic potential. In high school he struggled  immensely and never thought he would be in college, let alone be a tutor! Kaston enjoys bodybuilding, discussing and writing philosophical ideas he has, and neuroscience, specifically how neurotransmitters affect human behavior. After graduating from UAFS, Kaston plans to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical neuroscience. He hopes to one day make a groundbreaking discovery that changes the lives of many.

Danu Regalado

is a sophomore electrical engineering major. He is excited to help students excel in their classes. He thinks you'll love it here, so come by! In his personal time, he likes to go biking, read sci-fi books, and play video games. He has a cat and a bird that get along, though they like to poke at each other. After graduation, he hopes to pursue a program to develop new technologies.

Christian Long

is a sophomore business major at UAFS minoring in mathematics and applied statistics. Christian is looking forward to being able to help his fellow students succeed in their studies. Outside of class he enjoys spending time with family, playing chess, and cooking. After he graduates, Christian plans on getting a Master of Science in economic analysis before getting a job as an economic analyst.
