Lion Voices: Dadrick Franklin

Written By: Kolby McGee

Hey Lions! This week for our #LionVoices feature, we have Junior theatre major, Dadrick Franklin. Dadrick comes from a small town in Arkansas, Mineral Springs, from which he graduated.

When asked about UAFS, why he chose this institution, and what he admires about UAFS, he had this to say. “I chose UAFS because the University gave me new options to choose from. My experience here at UAFS so far is good.”

“My favorite thing about UAFS so far is the impact that different programs have on people. The way people have a connection with others even those who are new students to UAFS.”

Dadrick is involved in Chi Alpha, Black Student Alliance, and he is even in the process of starting a gospel choir group on campus.

Dadrick says he gets his strength from those around him “The person who has been the most significant in my life would have to be my older brother. Even though he is deceased, he told me to never give up and never quit”

Dadrick aspires to have a stable job and build a stable foundation for his family. He mentions how UAFS has already started giving him the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in the future.
