Informational Technology Policies

Information Technology policies define how technology resources, data, and systems are used and protected at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. This section includes policies on account access and acceptable use, authentication and passwords, data governance and classification, accessibility, and technology purchasing.

Students, faculty, and staff can use these policies to understand their responsibilities when accessing UAFS systems and handling university data. Use the menu on the left to view specific Information Technology policies.

Many items in this section link to detailed procedures in the UAFS IT knowledge base, as well as University of Arkansas System policies and federal or industry security standards. This page serves as a central starting point and does not list every internal configuration or procedure; when differences exist, the official governing documents control.
