Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to secure your future by completing an accounting concentration as you earn your Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
Today’s corporate leaders rely on skilled accountants to ensure their businesses remain efficient and profitable. It’s why accountants are so sought after by employers and why, according to the Bureau of Labor, the median salary in 2022 for accountants and auditors in top industries was $78,000.
UAFS’s unique Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program, fully accredited by AACSB International, offers an accounting concentration that provides a curriculum in core, professional, and public accounting concepts. Students will learn to analyze and prepare financial statements, interpret data, solve ethical dilemmas, and more.
Earning your BBA with an accounting concentration prepares you to enter the thriving financial world. You’ll have the skills necessary to begin as an accountant and the foundational knowledge to explore related and specialty careers such as:
Auditing
Budget Analysis
Cost Estimators
Financial Analysts
Financial Management
Forensic/Investigative Accounting
Personal Financial Advisors
Top Executives
The demand for accounting professionals is expected to grow about 6 percent over the
coming decade, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Globalization, a growing economy, and a complex tax and regulatory environment are
expected to continue to lead to strong demand for accountants and auditors.
Those in the profession rank accounting as a major with high upward mobility and above-average
flexibility. Graduates employed in public accounting will likely be required to hold
the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation.
