The Bachelor of Arts in history encourages you to appreciate the significance of world events and comprehend the important connections between history, culture, and the status quo. A complete range of courses in American, European, and global history is led by skiled historians who make history come alive in the classroom.
Hands-on training in historical research is available through the Pebley Center for Historical and Cultural Materials archive and at the Drennen-Scott Historic Site, which features the Drennen-Scott and Willhaf houses.

Bachelor of Science - History with Social Studies Teacher Licensure 7-12
This program is designed for future social studies teachers who will make an exciting
and important impact on history, civics, economics, and psychology students in junior
high and high school classrooms. You will learn to integrate and apply the knowledge
you learn in actual public school classrooms for grades 7-12.
There is a separate application process for history with social studies teacher licensure 7-12, and requirements for admission may change over time. Minor
This 18-hour program provides you with analytical thinking skills and research and writing ability that all employers desire from their employees. By providing you with core knowledge of the past, a minor in history helps prepare you for the responsibilities of citizenship.
What can I do with a degree in history?
A degree in history brings with it valuable analytical thinking, research, and writing skills that are applicable in a variety of careers. While some graduates have chosen to continue their education in law school or other graduate degree programs, many have begun careers in a variety of roles such as:
