Housing and Residential Life Handbook

Headshot of Stephanie London, Director of Housing and Residental Life at UFSWelcome home, Lions! We are excited that you have chosen to live on campus while at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith and are committed to providing safe, well-maintained, quality on-campus residential opportunities in your home away from home.

Whether living in the Lion’s Den Residence Hall, Sebastian Commons Apartments, or with us in our new partnership with University Park Place through a UAFS-leased apartment, we encourage you to get to know your neighbors and your Residential Life staff through personal interactions, attending our exclusive Housing and Residential Life programs, and engaging with your Resident Assistant or Resident Director.

While you pursue your academic goals, we hope you also challenge yourself outside of the classroom to get involved in a registered student organization, attend campus events or those hosted by our own Housing Activities Board, volunteer in the community, and maybe even join the Residence Hall Association, which serves as the voice for all residents on campus.

Throughout your experience at UAFS, you will meet new people and interact with other residents from different backgrounds and cultures, and who may have different values from your own. This is part of building your community and personal growth. As you investigate these experiences, we ask that you do so with respect to those around you.

This Housing and Residential Life website provides detailed information about our policies for living on campus and serves as a supplement to your housing contract. Please use this as a resource while calling UAFS your home.

If you ever have any questions, please reach out to your Resident Assistant (RA), Resident Director (RD), or me. We want you to be successful and enjoy your time as a lion!
