Celebrating Student Achievement
At the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith, scholarships recognize students whose hard work and goals set them apart. These awards are made possible by the generosity of donors who believe in student success.
Throughout the year, the Advancement Office shares the accomplishments of scholarship recipients to help demonstrate the impact of donor support.
This page provides an overview of how students can express thanks and share their stories, while also outlining how UAFS protects student privacy.

Sharing Student Stories
Every student at UAFS has a story worth sharing. Whether it’s a thank-you note or a brief profile, these stories help donors see the real difference their gifts make.
Recipients are invited to share:
- Submitting a written thank-you note
 - Completing a brief online form

These expressions of gratitude not only help strengthen the donor-student connection, but also foster a culture of generosity across campus.

Roles and Expectations
At UAFS, scholarship recipients are viewed as valued partners in Advancement’s efforts to connect donor generosity with student achievement.
- Students are encouraged—but not required—to participate in donor stewardship activities.
 - Sharing personal details is always voluntary.
 - Participation in these activities has no effect on current or future scholarship eligibility.

The goal is to provide students with accessible and respectful opportunities to express gratitude while ensuring their rights and comfort are prioritized.
